Work Experience

Data Science Intern - Human Rights First: Blue Witness (May 2021 - May 2021)

  • Python | FastAPI | BERT | PostgreSQL | Twitter API | AWS
  • Assisted with the predictive analytics for the implementation of the Bidirectional Encoder Representations Transformations (BERT) model that greatly improved the capability of the bot to recognize and identify police incidents and not.
  • Collaborated remotely with two data scientists to compile thousands of reliable police incidents and non-incidents that increased the performance and accuracy of the BERT model.

Finance Analyst Team - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (August 2019 - July 2020)

  • Analyzed financial data for 50-100 multi-million dollar projects to evaluate potential problems in capitalization, and consulted with finance managers to properly handle the easier completion of projects
  • Created multiple Visual Basic Macro Codes in MS Excel that improved productivity, accuracy, and efficiency of weekly and monthly financial reports for project managers and finance managers by 50%
  • Performed numerous Ad Hoc projects such as analysis on inconsistencies in financial data from different records, and reconciliation of variances on costs of projects
